Deregistration has a different legal purpose from recording a transfer of ownership.

4. Keep proof of deregistration and the export documents for registration/regularisation of the vehicle in the destination country.
After completing the Romanian procedure.
Your own records / the authority in the destination country.
Proof of deregistration and vehicle documents.
Practical Lili tip: keep the documents issued in Romania because the authority in the destination country may ask for evidence of the vehicle’s previous status.
