5 tasks in suggested order
1. Submit a request for suspension or a notification/request for termination to the school in accordance with study regulations, and obtain a decision or confirmation stating the exact date.
Before the planned change and within the school's deadlines.
The study department or faculty of your university.
The school's form and supporting documents regarding the reason, if required by the school.
Simply stopping attendance does not legally suspend or terminate your studies as of your chosen date.

2. From the effective date, verify your new health insurance status and notify your health insurance company if they do not automatically receive the information reliably.
Immediately after the suspension or termination of student status.
Your health insurance company.
The school's decision/confirmation and proof of employment, registration (e.g., as a job seeker), or other insurance status.
During the interruption, you may not be considered a student for health insurance purposes.

3. If you are not working and do not hold another status, decide whether to register as a job seeker.
Do so without undue delay after your student status ends, if you wish to register.
The Labour Office of the Czech Republic (Úřad práce ČR) office responsible for your place of residence, or the supported online submission option.
Proof of identity, confirmation from the school, and any documents regarding the termination of employment.
Registration is not automatic, and eligibility for unemployment benefits is assessed separately.

4. Notify the scholarship or benefit provider of the change if your student status affects your eligibility or the payment amount.
After the school's decision and before the next payment.
Higher education institution, Labour Office, or other specific payer.
School decision/confirmation and identification of the scholarship or benefit.
Any amount paid out unduly may be reclaimed.

5. Sort out your dormitory or rental arrangements, return books, your ID card, and equipment, and cancel study-related services if they are not to continue.
Before leaving or in accordance with contractual and school deadlines.
Dormitory, library, school, and individual service providers.
Contracts, student ID card, list of borrowed items, and handover protocol.
Suspending your studies does not automatically terminate your accommodation contract or subscriptions.
