Moving to a different address in the Czech Republic
6 tasks in suggested order
1. Report the change of permanent residence if you are actually changing your permanent residence.

If you are merely moving without changing your permanent residence, you do not need to perform this procedure.

2. Apply for a new national ID card after changing your permanent residence.
No later than the expiration of the old card, in accordance with statutory deadlines.

3. If you own a vehicle, register the change of details in the road vehicle register.

4. Notify your compulsory motor liability insurance provider of the change of address.
After a change of permanent residence.

5. Notify your health insurance company of the change of address, unless they already have the information automatically.
After a change of permanent residence.

6. If you are registered with the ČSSZ or the Labour Office and your address is relevant to your file, update it.
After a change of permanent residence.
