1. Register your permanent or temporary residence if you meet the requirements for mandatory residence registration.
When?
The deadline depends on your residence status: for EU/EFTA citizens and certain family members, generally no later than the 30th day after moving in; for some other foreigners, no later than the 4th day. Temporary registration applies when you live at the address for more than 3 months.
Where / who?
The municipal office competent for the place of residence; some cases can be handled online.
What to prepare?
A form, a valid identity/travel document, and documents regarding the right to the premises and residence status.
What to check?
You cannot have two permanent registrations or two temporary registrations at the same time. You may have one permanent and one temporary registration at different addresses.
