Enrolling my child in primary school
4 tasks in suggested order
1. Check the catchment school for the child's place of residence. A child living in the catchment area of a public primary school is admitted on the basis of a parent's notification.
Compulsory schooling begins at the start of the school year in the calendar year in which the child turns 7.
Municipality/city and the chosen primary school.
Child's address and catchment area information.
A child from the catchment area is admitted based on registration; an out-of-catchment school may conduct an admission process.

Within the established admission deadlines.

Form, child's and parents' details, and documents regarding admission criteria.

4. If the child has special needs, provide the relevant official ruling or opinion and arrange for support, transport, or appropriate educational arrangements.
Before starting school or immediately after obtaining the document.
