The statutory retirement age is 60 for women and 65 for men. ZUS grants the pension from the month in which the application is filed, but not earlier than the day on which you reach retirement age.

For people born after 31 December 1948, entitlement to the general old-age pension requires reaching age 60/65 and at least 1 day of coverage under the relevant old-age pension insurance.
