1. Arrange maternity leave and how the maternity allowance will be paid with your employer; if you choose an option that requires an application, submit it on time.
When?
The allowance for the maternity-leave period is generally 100% of the assessment base. If you want the 81,5% option for the period corresponding to maternity and parental leave, submit the relevant application no later than 21 days after the birth.

With your employer and/or ZUS, depending on who pays the allowance and the basis on which you are insured.
