4 tasks in suggested order
1. If you are a foreigner, first check whether your citizenship and residence allow you to work legally or whether you need an additional legal basis for employment.
Before accepting a job offer.
MOS / existing canonical work-legalisation journey.
Citizenship, residence document and planned type of work.
Finding a job alone does not legalise a foreigner's employment.

2. Search public labour-market databases and EURES and prepare your application documents.
At the start of your job search and regularly afterwards.
Public Employment Services / EURES.
CV, qualifications and availability information.
You do not need to register with an office merely to browse vacancies.

3. If you want to use Labour Office services as a job seeker, register with the PUP under the current procedure.
When you want public placement or other services for job seekers.
District Labour Office (PUP) competent for your place of residence; use current online registration if available.
Identity document and the details/documents required by the current procedure.
Job-seeker status is not the same as unemployed status and does not automatically create entitlement to unemployment benefit.

4. If, in addition to looking for work, you want unemployed status or benefit, use the existing job-loss/unemployment checklist.
After losing work or when you meet the conditions for registration as unemployed.
