Private sellers and buyers can use the online Change of Vehicle Ownership service. Offline, both complete/sign the VRC ownership section and the seller sends the VRC for updating.

2. Confirm the NVDF ownership change has completed and keep the transaction record

Until the correct new owner is recorded, the seller can remain exposed to vehicle-related charges or penalties. The online service confirms the transfer in real time when completed.
