2. If you need a new passport, submit a replacement application; in the electronic procedure, the report and replacement can be initiated together.

3. If you are left without a travel document abroad and need to return home urgently, inquire at the consulate about a temporary travel document.
Immediately before the planned return journey.
Competent Hungarian embassy or consulate.
Police report, proof of identity and citizenship, travel details.
The purpose and validity of the temporary document may be restricted; do not automatically expect to be able to continue your journey.
