1. Ensure the birth is registered if the institutional process does not handle this automatically in your case.
Following the birth, in accordance with official procedures.
Process initiated by the registrar / healthcare institution.
Details of the parents and the child, along with the necessary declarations.

2. If you are eligible, apply for the maternity grant (anyasági támogatás); the application must be submitted within 6 months after the birth.

3. Apply for family allowance (családi pótlék) if you are eligible. The benefit can be awarded retroactively for no more than 2 months before the application, provided the conditions were already met during that period.

4. If you meet the insurance conditions, apply for CSED (Infant Care Fee). The claim can be made retroactively for no more than 6 months.
During the period in which you are entitled to CSED; the claim can be made retroactively for no more than 6 months.
