1. Apply for a duplicate registration certificate
After loss or theft of the registration certificate, a duplicate must be requested. In the event of loss, a declaration of loss to the registration office is sufficient; in the event of theft, a police report must be made without delay.
After a loss, as soon as possible; report theft to the police without delay and then apply for the duplicate.
A registration office authorised for the district of residence or the district of the company seat.
Official photo ID and theft/loss report or declaration of loss; if represented, also a power of attorney.
According to the official information, the vehicle may be driven for one week with confirmation of a police loss report. There is no fee for a paper duplicate; separate costs apply to the card version.
