Return old driving licence after replacement

1. Return a Great Britain driving licence if you find it after requesting a replacement
If applicable: If the cancelled/replaced licence was issued in Great Britain.
If you find the old GB driving licence after applying for or receiving a replacement, it is no longer the licence you should use. DVLA says to return it with an explanation of what happened.
As soon as you find the old licence after a replacement application.
Post the old licence to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AB with a brief explanation.
The old driving licence and a short note explaining that it was found after a replacement was requested/issued.
Do not start using the old licence again. This task is for Great Britain licences; Northern Ireland uses DVA below.

2. Return a Northern Ireland driving licence if you find it after requesting a replacement
If applicable: If the replaced licence was issued in Northern Ireland.
If you find an NI licence after requesting or receiving a replacement, DVA says to return the old licence with a brief explanatory note because it is no longer valid.
As soon as you find the old NI licence after the replacement request.
