2. If you wish to be registered as a job seeker, submit an application for registration.
Ideally within 10 calendar days of the end of employment, if you wish to ensure continuous state-paid health insurance coverage without a gap.

3. If you meet the eligibility criteria, apply for the unemployment benefit.
After being entered into the register of job seekers.
The Labour Office (ÚPSVaR) upon registration, or the Social Insurance Agency, depending on the chosen procedure.

The benefit is not automatic simply because you have lost your job.

4. If you do not register at the labour office, contact your health insurance company to arrange for the payment of premiums.
From the date employment ends, if neither the state nor another entity is paying premiums on your behalf.
