2. Verify that the employer has registered you with the Social Insurance Agency and the health insurance company; provide them with the correct insurance company details and your personal information.

When?

Upon starting employment.

Where / who?

The employer; you can subsequently verify your Social Insurance Agency records via the electronic insured person's account.

What to prepare?

Birth number/identification details, health insurance company, and documents required for payroll processing.

What to check?

In a standard employment relationship, registration is handled by the employer, not by the employee on the employer's behalf.

3. Decide whether to sign a declaration with your employer to claim the non-taxable income allowance and tax benefits, and provide proof of eligibility.

When?

Upon commencement of employment or when key details change.

Where / who?

Employer's payroll/HR department.

What to prepare?

Declaration and supporting documents for the claimed benefits.

What to check?

The same tax benefit cannot be claimed twice with multiple employers for the same period.

4. Provide your employer with the account details for wage payment or agree on another legally permitted payment method.

When?

Before the first wage payment.

Where / who?

Employer and your chosen bank (if an account is required).

What to prepare?

IBAN and account holder details.

What to check?

The account is a personal contractual arrangement; the specific bank cannot be determined based on your place of residence.

5. Keep your employment contract, payslips, confirmations, and access details for your electronic insurance accounts.

When?

From the start of employment and throughout the entire duration of the employment relationship.

Where / who?

Keep them yourself; confirmations are provided by the employer and insurance companies.

What to prepare?

No documents are required beyond those generated during the course of employment.

What to check?

Check your first payslip and address any discrepancies immediately with the payroll department.
