1. Supplement to flat-rate childcare allowance
Low-income recipients of the childcare allowance account may, subject to the statutory requirements, receive an additional supplement. This supplement is not available for income-related childcare allowance.
The supplement is granted only on application and can be received for no more than 365 days; it ends no later than the end of the childcare allowance period.
With the health-insurance carrier responsible for the childcare allowance.
A fully completed application and the evidence on entitlement and income required by the health-insurance carrier.
Separate additional-income limits apply to the recipient and, where applicable, to their partner. Exceeding a limit can reduce the supplement or lead to repayment.
