4. Update your address with Revenue
Revenue allows you to update your address through myAccount or ROS.

5. Update your address with the Department of Social Protection
If applicable: Especially relevant if you receive social welfare payments or DSP correspondence.
If you receive payments or correspondence from the Department of Social Protection, update your address with DSP.
Promptly after moving, especially if you receive a payment or expect correspondence.

If you have several payments or other public-service contacts, check whether they require separate updates.

6. Update the address on your driving licence
If applicable: Only if you hold an Irish driving licence.
NDLS lets you update the address on your driving licence online with a Public Services Card and verified MyGovID. Proof of the new address dated within the last 6 months may be required if it differs from your PSC record. There is no fee unless another fee-triggering transaction also applies.
Update after moving if the address recorded for your licence is no longer current.

7. Update the vehicle registration certificate address
Update the postal address connected with your vehicle record through the official Motor Tax / National Vehicle and Driver File service so vehicle documents and notices go to the correct address.

8. Update your address on the electoral register
If applicable: If you are on the electoral register or eligible to register.
Update your electoral-register address online. During the 2026 transition, local authorities are moving from CheckTheRegister.ie to Voter.ie on a phased basis; the service redirects users where their authority has moved.
After moving; rolling registration allows details to be updated throughout the year.

PPSN, date of birth, Eircode and current address details where requested by the service.
Your electoral-register address is not automatically updated by changing details with Revenue or other bodies.
