1. Start looking for work immediately and keep evidence
When unemployment is imminent, unemployment insurance requires reasonable job-search efforts before unemployment begins.
As soon as you know the job may end.
Independently; evidence is later submitted to the RAV.
Keep applications, replies and records of contacts/interviews systematically.
Insufficient job-search efforts can affect benefit entitlement.

2. Register with RAV
If unemployment is imminent or has begun, registration with the RAV should be made as early as possible, no later than the first day for which benefits are claimed.
As early as possible, at the latest on the first day for which unemployment compensation is claimed.
Regional Employment Centre (RAV); registration may also be available via Job-Room depending on the service.
AHV number, identity, information on the last employment relationship and job search.
Actively look for work and keep evidence already during the notice period; RAV and the unemployment fund have different roles.
