If applicable: If your employment is governed by Northern Ireland redundancy law.

In Northern Ireland, statutory redundancy pay normally requires employee status and at least 2 years’ continuous service. The calculation uses age, service (maximum 20 years) and weekly pay. The current weekly cap is £783 and the maximum statutory payment is £23,490.

When?

When redundancy is proposed or confirmed, and before accepting the employer’s calculation as correct.
